Giveaway Day! A Vintage Sewing Pattern

Wasn't that quick?  You didn't have to wait long for another giveaway!  I'm participating in Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway DayThis is the first of the giveaways I have planned on my blog this month. To me, this season is all about the spirit of giving.

This giveaway ends on December 6th, and as usual, the winner will be drawn by random number.

The prize is an uncut and factory folded vintage sewing pattern, Simplicity 8793, which will make a snuggly pullover top, caftan, or robe to keep you, a loved one, or someone in need warm this season:

To enter, leave one comment below to tell me about your favorite charity, why they are important to you, and if possible add a link to their website.

Don't forget to check out the other giveaways...for more information, click this link to the Sew, Mama, Sew blog!

  18. how fun! I think my mom wore one of those!!
I always donate to Focus on the Family when I can. I love listening to Dr. Dobson and feel that the Lord has used his radio program & books to help me become a better wife & mother. I also sponsored a child through World Vision and like to give donations to World Vision as gifts for those hard to shop for folks. I think if you google either, they will be easy to find. I'm having trouble attaching a link.

  20. I have a few favorite charities.
A local one is Transitional Youth. They provide food and shelter for homeless teens. They work on helping them get clean and find jobs. Hoping to transition them out of the Transitional Youth homes and into their own apartments.
A great holiday one is Operation Christmas Child. http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/
We do this one with our kids. My daughter takes money from her piggy bank (she's 5) and picks out what she wasn't to put into the shoe boxes. I love being able to help her understand that not everyone can afford gifts or even toothbrushes. It makes it more tangible when she is the one purchasing the gifts.

    Thanks for the giveaway!
